    Doesn't Recommend
    Negative Outlook
    No Opinion of CEO

I worked at Superdry full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

50% staff discount. All other staff perks have slowly been stripped away. The budget that subsidises the cafe has been pulled so the level of service and quality of food is abysmal (h/o is based on the back end of a worn out industrial park so there’s a greasy spoon truck as an alternative...), 2 staff parties a year has been reduced to 1 (Xmas), budget for team parties has been pulled, Christmas tree competition (and prizes) have been pulled. Slowly but surely every ounce of perk has been taken away, leaving just 50% staff discount if that’s your cup of tea. Really struggling to identify any other pro about working here.

    Cons

All male led executive board fighting for individual gains and one up manship, each of their egos more important that the future success of the business, which drives chaos and confusion from the top down. Ever changing structures, resource, direction and strategy, it’s absolutely no wonder the company is in the state it’s in. HR presence with zero substance or power to control the charlatans in the boardroom (promoted on friendship with CEO rather than value added or experience) doing whatever, however they like, with the increasing expectation that those below will mop up the mess time after time. HR spent a lot of time and money talking and making posters but not actually doing anything. Design team regularly working weekends and into early hours of the morning, where rules and company values don’t apply, with increasing mental and physical illness across teams due to unrealistic, unreasonable and frankly insane and deluded demands and deadlines from senior/exec management. This company claims to value its people, but the turnover of staff is incredible, on top of rounds of redundancies over the last 12 months. Overworked and understaffed and drowning in toxic culture, it’s no surprise why there’s a constant stream of H/O staff walking out of the door.
