Pros

I really wish that I could add some pros to this review. Apart from some genuine, nice people that work there and are unfortunately being manipulated by this company, there is not much else positive to say.

Cons

Since working at this despicable company I've noticed that they are good at one thing: lying. Doesn't matter if you are an employee, client or investor...you are being lied to. Most of the data they are sending out to clients and potential clients are all made up to go in their favor. I've sat through meetings where management talks about how much they should fudge the numbers. No wonder they are being investigated. Any positive review you see on glassdoor are actually managers being payed extra to write good reviews. As a company we are told to go and flag bad reviews to try and get them deleted. It is all just a big fat mess waiting to boil over.

Pros

People working there are very knowledgeable and nice to work with. There was a time when the company was smaller and a lot more fun to work at though but it's still ok. The office is pretty nice and very conveniently located. You will get to know a lot of people while working at sweetiq because so many come and go. Work life balance is good, at least on the dev side.

Cons

The founders are penny pinchers and it trickles down through the company. As someone else has said, if you need something to do your job, good luck getting it approved. It's easier to go buy it yourself and hope you'll get it expensed in a few months. Most (all?) of the curation team is hired as contractors to save a few $$$, avoid paying them vacation time, keeping them off the company's insurance and to keep them in a precarious state where they wont get employment insurance if they're fired. This is wrong and illegal but only the contractors can make a complaint to the labor board. Turnover is pretty high because this is not a nice place to work at. Management/founders think they are above of everyone else and only come out of their corner office to tell people they're not doing a good job. Friends don't let friends work at SweetIQ.

Unprofessional management

Pros

The software developers in the company are good.

Cons

The management in the company is unprofessional mainly because of inexperienced top managers. It has been a startup for years and I don't see any future of this company. There are many other companies are providing same service and products as those provided by this company, but it's not doing better than others.
