I have been working at Synpulse Management Consulting full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    1. Opportunity to work on varied projects.
    2. Great support from colleagues and seniors to develop one's consulting & project management skills.
    3. Access to Senior Management for guidance, mentorship & support, which is especially valuable during challenging times.
    4. Opportunity to work in internal projects and directly contribute to the organisation's development.
    5. Superb organisational culture, frequent team activities, overseas Regional & Annual Meetings which gives the platform to network with colleagues from other locations.

    Cons

Highly focused on technical implementation projects, could benefit from broadening scope towards management/strategy consulting within FS sectors.

    Pros

    1. Good team work.
    2. Interesting projects.
    4. Good salary increment.
    5. Good training program

    Cons

    1. Lack of work / life balance.
    2. Management prompts those consultants faster who are sales-driven.

  8. "Overall good place for consultants to learn and grow"

I worked at Synpulse Management Consulting full-time

    Pros

    1. Colleagues are very supportive. There are many leisure events and oversea trips. You can make friends here.
    2. Company reshaped its strategy and diversified into many new Fintech areas. You have autonomy to participate or drive a new topic if you are interested.
    3. Learning and career progression are faster than the average banking career path, as you can touch different topics and projects as consultant, and build your own professional network faster through various exposures.
    4. Company culture encourages entrepreneurship - leading the team, achieving sales, and exploring new area.. you can be partner one day if you are really good at sales - though most of people will never get there.

    Cons

    1. Not everyone has clear career goal - though company devised 3 career path but not really practice on it - 90% of employees are on the same path.
    2. Appraisal system stresses on internal contribution. Everyone has to show visibility internally in order to prove their value no matter how good you are at client project. This is sometimes tiring and might be unfair to some people.
    3. Management need to balance better the short term and long term goal (revenue/chargeability vs. investment/sustainability).

    Advice to Management

    1. Invest more on employee's growth.
    2. Care more on each individual's needs.
    3. Align company strategy and practice.

    Doesn't Recommend
    Negative Outlook
    No opinion of CEO

I worked at Synpulse Management Consulting full-time

    Pros

    - The company does regular leisure trips overseas such as annual meeting or other weekend getaways.
    - You can work on your own and drive topics (also a con as there is very minimal mentoring)
    - Work with other offices around the globe

    Cons

    - Poor management: The management has no clear strategy and does not mentor or develop the juniors. It is more a body shopping company.
    - Management or IT consulting company? They try to do everything and like that lot's is just half baked and not thought trough.
    - The management does not listen to the people on the ground. There are many complains or proposals for change. These items are not addressed and just ignored.
    - Poor communication and handling of topics like leavers, retention rate (it's currently an exodus of long standing employees)
    - Individuals and ideas are not appreciated. Just blindly please the management (or key individuals) will bring you further

    Advice to Management

    - listen to the people
    - focus on people and not only $
    - the change has to start in the management. Looking at individuals on the ground is not addressing the real issues
