    Pros

I have worked for Sytner for over 10 years and don't have a bad word to say about them. The way they have handled the current situation and communicated the need for change has been very impressive. Especially considering the diversity of the work force and the amount of different situations that needed to considered. Well done Sytner keep the great work going!!

I worked at Sytner full-time for less than a year

    Pros

The shop window looks lovely, big investments and all the dazzling brands. Someone once told me that all that glitters isn’t gold! Very much a boys club within a divisional level, and whilst outsiders are allowed in your contributions are not listened to. Crazy really when experienced people with deep knowledge aren’t allowed to shine. Sytner says it creates this culture so you can run your own business, unfortunately that message is well misplaced.

    Cons

Pretty much most people may think that this is just a disgruntled former employee. Not the case. I just think from my experience at Sytner that the ethos and management are at a disconnect. If the face does not fit then I’m afraid you’re dust. The business is very good at managing its public face, never show redundancy’s but they cut and cut deep. They prefer to remove the new guard and keep the loyal dogs, but you know what they say, you can’t teach an old dog new tricks! A message to Darren, bring in talent, chop your dead wood. Get the business back to when you was operational at a divisional level. Your reputation then went before you! Good look all.... Oh. Please don’t give the standard we are sorry for your experience and reach out to HR etc. We all know how it works. HR effectively carry out the wishes and find ways to make it happen!

    I worked at Sytner full-time

    Pros

The admin team are great and everyone works hard

    Cons

They work hard because they are made to. Often staff are found being made to do 35 hours of overtime a month and not getting paid above their normal rate. Post covid they announced as a group no redundancies, NOTTINGHAM just found trivial ways to ensure people “left the business”. Since JQ left several years ago, the business is no longer the family environment it once was. Only work here if you have no other choice but be prepared to be over worked and under paid.
