    I worked at T J Morris part-time for more than a year

    Pros

    Great staff Some great managers who kept the store positive Easy to get promoted

    Cons

    Ignorance by area manager and some store management Slightly above minimum wage not enough Disregard for mental health issues unless you are a store manager/former store manager Favouritism shown towards managers who step down for personal reasons by area manager but lead sales (junior manager) comploetely ignored by area manager without even getting the chance to explain reasons for stepping down

    Advice to Management

    Do not show disrespect to your sales assistants. We are not robots. We are human beings. We go throught he same mental health issues that management go through.

    Poor training. Inexperienced team below you also need traininf

    Advice to Management

    Train as per your own training guidelines, area managers need to visit stores more frequently and not just those of their pals. Training consists of a 2 hour induction and then it’s basically trial by error.

        You be made work over 5 days most weeks and still never get overtime pay, you actually get told off if you accidentally go into overtime. The new senior management team for the past 2 years have pushed other leads sales out of the job and sales assistants because they didn’t personally like them.         Advice to Management

        Yes, you have to meet targets and keep your area manager happy but your staff is what makes the shop run. Show some respect and appreciation for them not everything has to have a hidden agenda.
