    I worked at TD full-time

    Pros

-Would recommend for those who want a career in banking. It's a great place to start to see all aspects of the bank -There are a few procedures to learn as you are handling sensitive information; great place to learn discretion -Work in a formal environment with formal work attire (I guess that can be a pro or con depending on your personality) -Some customers are lovely and go out of their way close to holidays to make you smile -Great place to start to decide if banking is the career for you. Many people go from teller all the way to senior management so there are a lot of career opportunities if you put in the time. Note, banking has lots of exams and certifications the higher you go (and rightly so).

    Cons

-Some customers can be rude but that's to be expected in customer-facing jobs -Punctuality is expected. If you are the person that likes to stroll in 10 minutes after your start time, this isn't the place for you. -Your experience is generally tied to your branch's location. If your bank is located in a rougher neighbourhood, expect that type of clientele.
