I worked at TE Connectivity full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Some individuals were easy to work with and had positive additives.

    Cons

The company as a whole is closing different plants left and right, do not seek employment as they will lay you off due to company closure one month after hiring. They do not care about you, they only care about money.

    Advice to Management

Your a Fortune 500 company and you are so cheap you continue to exploit poor Chinese labor laws and close plants without warning only to export the business overseas and outside of American territories

I worked at TE Connectivity full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

For the most part, the employees adhere to the core values as much as they can, and the company does want to make a difference in the world for the better.

    Cons

They outsource too much of the IT work. This causes constant turnover every year or two when contracts are up for negotiation. Projects are slowed down by miscommunication and knowledge gaps. They say they're agile, but it's impossible to be truly agile when you lose 2-3 months every other year because all your knowledge got swapped out for a different group of people.

    Advice to Management

    1. More people for fewer dollars that you have to train every couple of years is more expensive than hiring a few expensive onshore resources and retaining that talent long term. Your accounting isn't showing you the true cost of outsourcing work to companies on the other side of the world. 2. For a company that prides itself in acceptance, inclusion, and diversity, they haven't done a great job training managers how...

I worked at TE Connectivity full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Collectively the company has a lot of brilliant people and they held “tech days” for engineers to share best practices, new technology, and improvements. Freedom to implement projects as long as you can save the company money and doesn't require too much budget. Ok benefits.

    Cons

The company as a whole is going "lean", which means consolidating plants, laying off engineers, and discontinuing

    Advice to Management

The company as a whole is going "lean", which means consolidating plants, laying off engineers, and innovation groups. Throughout my 4 years with the company I’ve been through 2 plant closure and 1 engineering layoffs. Management do not care about talent retention or career path planning. Lean staffing means everyone is overloaded and unhappy with doing double to triple amount of work with no appreciation or additional...

I worked at TE Connectivity full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

Nice campus and good coworkers. Can be a good resume builder but that's it. Don't expect to stay there long term.

    Cons

Inept management, constant layoffs. Impossible customer demands.

    Advice to Management

Stop worrying about your stock price and start worrying about keeping employees that work hard. Also, live up to those high ethical standards you keep droning on about.

I worked at TE Connectivity full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Great Benefits, bonuses, easy work, most of the people are great

    Cons

favoritism, big turnover of workers. Temps work for a year or more and don't even get hired. unprofessional

    Advice to Management

treat your people like they are more than just a number. when it was AMP people loved to work there and there was hardly any turnover.. now its almost ever day. People can't wait to leave. HIRE your temps.. don't make them work for a year or more and then not even give them a chance.. that is just rude and unprofessional.
