I worked at TE Connectivity for less than a year

    Pros

Everyone is incredibly friendly and always willing to help. Given a good amount of responsibility despite my skill level. Manager was very helpful and was clearly giving me work based on my interests and development goals.

    Cons

Mentoring was lacking simply because all my colleagues were completely overworked. The products are undeniably boring especially as an intern. Their attempt to be innovative is definitely overshadowed by the corporate atmosphere. middle management seemed to cater to upper management and not their employees, granted there were exceptions. this led to a lot of job dissatisfaction and there was no attempt to woo... talented employees that were clearly thinking of leaving

    Advice to Management

Constant restructuring and intense online training courses don't seem to be working. Perhaps actually making an effort to listen to your employees and work together to find a solution might speed up progress. cut back on the corporate jargon as it further alienates employees.

I have been working at TE Connectivity full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Good 401k. Good experience platform for a resume.

    Cons

There is no security in your job and it is not a company you should plan to retire from. TE cares more about making headlines than it does their employees. You are a number, and nothing more. The constant layoffs, furloughs, and high turnover rate generates low morale and a constantly churning rumor mill. Employees with 20+ years of tenure (with the intention of retiring from the company) are laid off like they... never mattered. Insurance gets worse every year. TE is very unprofessional with contract employees. Their contracts are dragged out and renewed time and time again instead of hiring them. There are several contract employees who are currently coming up on two years without so much as a job offer or interview. This also contributes to the low morale. You are also expected to work weekends and give every minute of your spare time to the company, but denied a vacation day if one other person has the same day scheduled. Deserving employees with the proper experience are passed up for promotions they deserve for those who are friendly with upper management.

I have been working at TE Connectivity full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Good reception and attention from distribution network due to TE's market position. TE has a fast paced results-driven environment, and is very inclusive and diverse in it's management team.

    Cons

TE upper management is pushed by quarter to quarter results and is constantly scrutinizing the sales team with excessive reporting and immediate fire storm deadlines, often resulting in analysis-paralysis, and less face immdiate with customers.

    Advice to Management

Allow your sales teams time to visit customers and scale back the reporting and online meetings.

I have been working at TE Connectivity full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

People, several of the people who work here have been here for 20+ years, great people to work with, willing to help out.

    Cons

Several upper management changes over the past 6 years has left several areas decimated with only one person to cover several peoples jobs, this will lead to burn out and the current set of management has been able to mess with several people and they have left the company.

    Advice to Management

Let your people do their jobs and stop playing games with their carriers
