I worked at Takeda Pharmaceuticals full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Standard WFH days, good people (outside of functioning department) - Directors, Managers are approachable even Head of Departments wil say 'hello'. ICH GCP training is delivered better compared with the company it's partnered with (PRA).

    Cons

Too much sticking to SOPs and following everything exactly as they are written, with no real deviation or real problem solving. Entry level departments of work functions are seen as simpler things rather than what they are e.g. Regulatory Information Management is seen by the managers and senior upper management as 'data entry' - which is not correct when you are dealing with complicated databases and people who use those tools daily.

    Advice to Management

Takeda is lacking in terms of forward thinking and are behind the times at least in comparison to other Pharma companies. All the earlier acquisitions by the company have made for a very complicated setup of systems and lack of information at the LOC level (dossiers or legacy information). Due to the SOPs being written in Japanese then translated from the source, the reading of these can be very tongue twisting and don't make sense in practical terms (for the day to day job) - this is not all SOPs. Understand where your shop floor workers fit into the company and provide training where necessary. SOPs should be easily understood (regardless of translated language).

I worked at Takeda Pharmaceuticals full-time

    Pros

Great office location. Good benefits package.

    Cons

By far the most disorganised company I have worked for. Shambolic induction. Management are fond of highfalutin talk but fail to give clear expectations and direction. Some very unpleasant individuals.

    Advice to Management

I met many pleasant and talented people during my time at this company but also some very unprofessional individuals. Ensure that these are rooted out to avoid further exodus of good staff.
