I worked at Takeda Pharmaceuticals full-time

    Pros

Dynamic, lots of good ideas and they look after their staff exceptionally well

    Cons

Sometimes too much change, last thing never has a chance to embed and see if it works before onto the next organisational change

    Advice to Management

Try and allow things time to work as a lot of time goes into implementing new things

I have been working at Takeda Pharmaceuticals full-time

    Pros

    Great place to work.
    Decent pace of growth.
    Pay is decent too.

    Cons

Various regional offices often tend towards being competing with each other than working together which creates an atmosphere for politics and elbowing to become prevalent.

    Advice to Management

Lets start with handful of things, achieve them, stabilize them and then start the next handful of things. Off late, the company has become playground for senior management to come in, start massive transformation initiatives and leave the company hanging mid-way.

I have been working at Takeda Pharmaceuticals full-time

    Pros

Fast changing, opportunity to try new ideas.

    Cons

    Chaotic management; they employ whole functions, then 18 months later close down whole teams; some unprofessional main departments (HR but others as well);

    Advice to Management

Be careful what you promise to new candidates. What is promised in job descriptions does not match what happens in reality.

I worked at Takeda Pharmaceuticals full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Holiday entitlement, flexible working hours.

    Cons

Everyone who can makes changes are blinkered. I have never heard such moaning within staff, moral is very low. Some working harder than overs. People have lovely chats best part of day while they see colleagues snowed under. If you go for a ciggy break you get to hear all the gossip, just what Takeda thrives on, form receptionist to managers. Everyone trying to put everyone down. Left to get on with it or get out. They don't care turnover is high. Many employees are actually employed by Ashford rather than Takeda themselves. Promotion is not worth chasing as it always has someones name on it. Most people jump quickly. Pay is average for a pharma company.

    Advice to Management

CEO needs to be accountable. Managers who have never managed before with no clue. Negativity coming from management too. You need a radical shake up and take off your blinkers. You are loosing good quality staff, but there are much better pharma companies out there for these people to move onto.

I have been working at Takeda Pharmaceuticals full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Strong pipeline of products. Good company growth and prospect.

    Cons

HR and Snr management are too weak or incapable of handling disruptive toxic behaviours, as a result people can't leave fast enough. Individuals who have been with the company for a long time are now becoming extremely territorial towards new talented individuals joining the Company.
Very limited career opportunities at Country level.
A lot of talk but no action! No transparency with regards to how decisions are taken.

    Advice to Management

Train first and foremost your Snr Management as they fall really short of any expectations, make sure you practise what you preach!
HR should immediately react to non professional bullying behaviour and not try to hide things under the rug.

    Pros

Takeda as a Japanese ethos which is very much patient focused. The takedaism values are meaningful and can relate too. Great place to work for & company benefits are really good!

    Cons

Decisions take too long to make. Moving from a japenese company to a USA one, focused in Boston..sad times ahead!

    Advice to Management

Not just to focus just on Boston!!
