I worked at Talbots part-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Talbots was a great part-time job, especially for my first serious employment. They asked for the best from you. They were committed to brand excellence and maintaining a classic tradition while moving forward with the times (visually). The management team was excellent; the GM was considerate and listened to what we needed as employees but never promised what she couldn't deliver. She was an excellent boss to work for and gave me a wonderful structure for what to look for in a leader.

    Cons

The only cons would be that all the employees are only part-time. There aren't any full-time positions open until you get to corporate headquarters-type positions. I didn't anticipate any kind of growth while working there. Any other cons were the kind that come from working part-time retail.

Co workers pleasant ,customers usually pleasant. Flexible scheduling and a semi break room in most locations. Fun events an shopping parties.

Up to 4 managers all on different pages, each with a different set of rules. You will feel judged harshly . Your appearance is judged daily, especially if you cannot afford Talbot's clothing.

I have been working at Talbots part-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

The best reason to work at Talbots is the satisfaction of the customer experience. As an employee you get to work with each individual customer to find her needs and wants to pick out clothing that satisfies her taste.

    Cons

The downside for some people may be having to stand up for hours at a time before being allowed to take a break & waiting on customers hand & foot throughout the work day
