I have been working at Talentful full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    - Flexible working - great hiring team, everyone is talented and easy to get along with - always willing to help each other out - Great benefits - clients range from start ups to enterprise - new office location in shoreditch!

    Cons

    - slightly backwards promotion setup, isn't really merited on your work but on your visibility in the company and how popular you are with senior employees

I worked at Talentful full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Fun place to work Good location (if you ignore the lack of windows)

    Cons

Only 1/4 Directors care about their teams, the rest are happy to cancel 1-2-1s at last minute and not follow through on promises. Salaries way under market average. Benefits pulled without explanation

    Talentful Response

    February 25, 2020People Director

Thanks for taking a moment to write your thoughts down. I'm glad you found the environment fun to work in, but I'm sorry you feel disenchanted with other things. I can assure you that the Directors really do care about their teams very much, but it sounds as if you didn't feel included enough. We regularly benchmark salaries to keep in the right area with the market but we do also try to go much further and look at the total reward you get for your contributions. With this in mind, building out a very supportive and useful benefits package and wrap around L&D has been a huge priority for 2019 and 2020. This meant that we did make a change to one of our L&D benefits this year, but added in several bigger L&D items to provide more comprehensive support so people will actually have more than was available last year. Possibly you left before we had the benefits workshops to explain how to maximise your package. It's good to get a steer on things that really mattered and were on your mind as you left the business because we can try and address these topics and/or make our comms clearer, so if you have other suggestions, do email HR or your Director.

I have been working at Talentful full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    - Exciting growth c140 employees within 4 years (fastest growing in sector) - Privately owned, which means no investors controlling what we do - Broad range of clients from 10 person start-ups to 10k person enterprise - Huge opportunity to learn, grow and access to roles you wouldn't get elsewhere - Collaborative community of 100+ talent partners sharing and helping each other - Smart, switched on and fun colleagues - Regular monthly socials, summer and xmas party - New international locations, which means opportunity to live and work abroad But the best thing is we are never standing still and always innovating. Always looking at how we can improve the company for employees and clients.

    Cons

    - Because things are happening at a million miles per hour, communication is not delivered correctly at times - Visibility on roles above client lead , however I know we are working on this - Current office is very busy, but we are moving into a new awesome office in December

I have been working at Talentful full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Such an exciting company - so glad I joined! The company has an amazing energy and the team are incredibly supportive. A very thorough onboarding process and initiatives like ‘donut buddies’ mean new starters settle in very quickly and immediately feel part of the family. The management team is clearly heavily invested in their employees, with a huge focus on company culture, feedback and transparency. I have also been really impressed by the focus on learning and development - with so many opportunities to grow and develop. The company is growing really quickly which means there are lots of opportunities to develop professionally, but the culture is still very friendly and supportive. A fantastic opportunity to be part of a company going through stratospheric growth, but also work for amazing brands of all different shapes and sizes!

    Cons

The coffee machine is terrible (but the office location means there isn’t any absence of hipster coffee shops, so can’t complain too much!)

I have been working at Talentful full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    - Interesting and meaningful work. - Opportunities to work abroad. - Flexible working genuinely in action - Unbelievably talented leadership/directors Everyone, almost literally, is excited to work here. Maybe it's Stockholm syndrome... but The breadth of expansion and how many opportunities is ridiculous and for anyone who is bored of recruitment either agency or Inhouse you won't regret joining ..

    Cons

    - Brown nosing from a select few is a bit much. Not much you can do about this - and if this is one of the only cons, well... - More remote options would be life changing - The provider that's an add on to your phone for calls is shockingly underwhelming at best - Laptops don't connect to printers outside of the Talentful office.

I have been working at Talentful full-time for less than a year

    Pros

    - Huge support network from your peers, everyone is willing to help one another with challenges on their clients. I've never worked anywhere so collaborative. - A chance to consult for some superb organisations such as Investec, Google Deepmind and Netflix for starters. -Talentful really invest in your L&D. We've recently brought on a L&D manager (who is awesome) and we receive and L&D budget to spend on resources to help us with our learning, whether it's work or non-work related. - Senior leadership always listening and wanting feedback from its staff, continuous improvement is at the forefont of everything they do. - The only company I've ever worked for that has zero politics or bureaucracy, which I can't quite believe. It's a testament to Chris and Phil, as well as the calibre of people they hire. The outcome of this is that Talentful as an organisation moves very quickly and as a single unit; having come from an agency background, I've never experienced this and I'll never take it for granted.

    Cons

Genuinely nothing. Nothing is perfect of course and being a start up, you always have teething issues, but there are no cons that I've identified so far.

I have been working at Talentful full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Fantastic company culture, a completely different feel from anywhere I've ever worked. Support from everyone on anything you can possibly need (Training, Mentoring, Support on roles, new requirements, honestly anything!) Monthly socials which are always a good way to meet everyone in the business, there's over 100 of us now! CEO's and management are still hands-on and there for any support necessary, also they have your back.

    Cons

Benefits package could be better, but as we grow I'm sure it will get much better!

I have been working at Talentful full-time for less than a year

    Pros

I have been working at Talentful for 8 months now. Having come from a mixed background of internal and Agency, I genuinely love the company. They don't number and KPI you. They trust you to get on with your work, and they help you with difficult clients and situations. It’s nice to be given the autonomy to do your own work and achieve your goals without being micro managed. They care about their workforce. Invest in time and money in to your development. They are a start-up but very receptive to any feedback and implement changes where they see situations impacting there work force. Some clients have interesting projects, some not so much but that’s the good thing, your client’s change and so does the experience you get within your role.

    Cons

No cons..... nice place to work
