I have been working at Taylor Wimpey full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Some big projects on at the moment which will really change the business. Good to be so heavily involved. I work as part of a great team which is always a big part of the enjoyment of coming to work. The recent office refurb also contributes to a good working environment which really makes a difference.

    Cons

The whole property industry is a bit behind the times, but some good projects coming up to change that at Taylor Wimpey. Needs to maintain that focus in the future or we'll fall behind again.

    Advice to Management

Recognise the value of technology and innovation across the business.

A really positive review, thank you for the feedback. It may be worth noting that we have started to build in 'innovation' and 'ability to challenge' to our recruitment processes for specific roles... More

I have been working at Taylor Wimpey full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

I've worked at Taylor Wimpey just over 6 months now and it's great! There is a real push on innovation, managers enable employees to get involved, share ideas and express an interest - even in areas that may ordinarily not be of their expertise. There is a culture of trust and encouragement to align the way we work with Taylor Wimpey's values and I am thoroughly pleased I chose to join them on their journey!

    Cons

I think we could do a little more during onboarding to let employees know of all the opportunities and benefits available to them.

    Advice to Management

Keep encouraging, keep empowering and keep at it!

    Pros

    Nothing nothing nothing nothing nothing

    Cons

If you want to work for free, its a great place to work. Head office are a bunch of liars, give you a date they are going to pay, then nothing, give you another date for payment, yet AGAIN no money, it's endless. No apology, no concern for the fact people rely on their wages, total lack of respect and they sit there and wonder why they have no manual workforce. Oh and I'm PAYE no God knows how bad it is for the self employed!!

    Advice to Management

    Just pay, it's simple

    Pros

Great company to work for. Good company values and strong intelligent leadership. Availability of training is excellent. This company makes you feel valued and want to strive for more.

    Cons

For a very forward-thinking and progressive company, sadly the IT tools do not seem to match.
