I worked at Tecnológico de Monterrey

    Pros

Good people to work with, there are many projects and usually one is the one to administer tasks. Good place to start working as a graduate.

    Cons

They do not support for personal courses that will contribute to improvement of the department where one works for. There is clearly favoritism and there is always a lack of money to help employees with courses for them to be better qualified. There is no way one can get a better salary or a high level position unless someone retires or quits, it is difficult to grow professionally.

I have been working at Tecnológico de Monterrey part-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Good work environment among colleges. Everyone will help you achieve what you want to achieve.

    Cons

Upper management is not very supportive. They expect for you to work a lot much more than you are paid for. They are also gender biased.

Former Employee - Professor in Ciudad de México

I worked at Tecnológico de Monterrey full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Relative stability for some years. Excellent facilities for teaching (rooms, projectors, sound, computers, etc). Students speak very good English. Salaries can vary a lot depending on how well you negotiate at your arrival, so do it well.

    Cons

Professors are pushed to follow sometimes contradictory directions, like being very flexible and then being forced to comply very strict rules. Most professors never get to a proper retiring age while still working there. Early retirement or dismissal is the almost general rule.

    Advice to Management

Consider the time management of your employees and send clear orders with sufficient time. Avoid last minute change of directions.
