I have been working at Teleperformance full-time

    Pros

I worked at Teleperformance full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Some of the managers were lovely and helpful people, and deserve their due credit.

    Cons

The biggest con (in both main interpretations of the word), is the open plan environment. It does not help productivity nor camaraderie; in a call centre it mainly gives you stress. You can be in a room with over 100 people all trying to talk into their sometimes ancient and often one-eared headsets, and you must focus to the point of near exhaustion to converse with the customer. If you have Asperger's/ASD, then steer clear. It is sensory hell: bright and noisy. You also have to deal with changes in working hours each week, and getting two days off in a row is a rare treat. Watch out if you need to go the toilet for more than seven minutes per day as you may be questioned and have to divulge the fact that your bowels aren't behaving to company standards. On top of all this, you get extremely tight targets, and I have seen many an advisor cut corners to reach these targets. It is a constant stressor and not a motivator. This place ruined my health, my social life, and self-esteem, and I felt too frazzled to search for other work, so I had to eventually resign after getting a nervous breakdown. Some people can handle it, but turnover of staff is crazy for a reason. Only work there if you need an income while seeking other employment.

I worked at Teleperformance part-time for more than a year

    Pros

A good place to start, but consider moving immediately.

    Cons

No career development, they are not interested in their employees.

  7. "Meh - apply if you need to, but nothing to get excited about."

I worked at Teleperformance full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Co-workers, getting to offload about everything with them. Modern premises. Most of the team leaders are genuinely supportive. Internal progress to different roles rather than outside hire is an option, but pay won't go up that much, just useful to add to CV.

    Cons

Not much extra pay for the responsibilities. Length of training and support in the first few weeks a joke. Rate of pay for the difficulty of the campaign is shameful. Minimal flexibility for holiday hours if you don't work there in January when they get released. Quayside site next to no parking, awkward to get to with public transport with one bus every 30 minutes unless you're walking back to town. Hot desking, systems being abysmally slow to load up so you have to be there half an hour early to make sure you can clock in. It's your fault otherwise...
