I have been working at Tesco full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Flexible, good for students, good pay

    Cons

Difficult to progress to managerial roles, will often be moved locations

  2. "Good part time job for students, but prepare to be bored out of your mind"

I have been working at Tesco part-time for less than a year

    Pros

    - Decent wage - Flexible working hours (you can easily switch around days if things crop up) - New end of year bonus scheme - Wage rises to over £8 an hour after six months

    Cons

    - Starting at 6 in the morning is a pain - Bonus scheme doesn't as far as the John Lewis equivalent - Work is extremely monotonous and can drive you crazy - No real praise for good work - Staff discount is only 10% after 6 months - Uniform is awful and takes months to arrive - If you plan to join and progress you have very little chance of going far, go to Uni/apprenticeship instead
