I have been working at Thames Valley Police full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Flexible working, good pay and benefits.

    Cons

low moral and negative working environment in general, but this can be dependant on the department you work in and your line manager. Very little in terms of career development due to limited budget.

    Advice to Management

Rather than using buzz words such as wellbeing to tick a box for a year or two, make projects that are ongoing and focus on develop and improving them over time. I feel moral is low, as most people seem to think these projects that appear to be focused on helping employees is a short term fix and no real passion is put into boosting moral, helping officers on the ground or making their work life more enjoyable in times where resources are very low and people are struggling mentally and physically.
