    You get a high level of training for this job. The salary and shift allowance. There are also good blue light discounts for working in the emergency services.

    Cons

    Little flexibility in shifts and work hours and you must book annual leave months in advance.

    Work with lots of people who really want to help protect the community. The Service Desk Manager and my Team Leader are great. Always wants to know what's happening and to help us develop.

    Not really a "con" but there's a lot to learn and keep on top of.
