I worked at The Body Shop part-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Lots of opportunities for progression and support from management for those who work hard. Recognition from area managers even for consultants allows for lots of development within the company.

    Cons

Pay is low for what may be expected of staff

I have been working at The Body Shop part-time

    Pros

Nice discount. Easy training. Good ethos and company values. Nice amount of holiday allowance. Stores all actively connect to each other in regions and work as a big network so are very helpful. Free products. Good maternity pay. Good break time allowance. Opportunity for bonuses.

    Cons

Customers can be difficult. Big responsibilities for team leaders which are effectively management but not paid nearly as much but still are expected to undertake the same management tasks. Hours can be long. Often small teams so store managers can be quite strict and have free reign which sometimes has not been a good thing. CC's get paid more than TL's on bank holidays when TL have to do more work.

I have been working at The Body Shop part-time for less than a year

    Pros

Free Products- you get 5 free products when you start and this can renew 3 times a year Lovely Team- generally the people that work for body sshop are compassionate and kind Good Hours- optional longer breaks and short breaks paid. Shifts are never too late or too early More emphasis on the ethics of company- the company is moving away from being too business orientated and focused on being ethical. They do multiple community trade initiatives so you make a positive difference.

    Cons

Sometimes feel pressured to bring in the money and it can be difficult
