I worked at The Body Shop part-time for less than a year

    Pros

Really welcoming environment, living wage, free products, incentives and really nice people.

    Cons

Not that in depth training, some customers can be rude but that comes with retail

I worked at The Body Shop part-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Free products and fun working environment.

    Cons

Rigid management and lease-line. Too target based and usually some senior staff try and take credit for for your achievement.

I have been working at The Body Shop part-time

    Pros

very generous with free products, really great company values, have been fortunate to meet some amazing people and worked in great teams.

    Cons

little opportunity to progress because of size of stores

  4. Helpful (1)

I have been working at The Body Shop part-time

    Pros

Nice discount. Easy training. Good ethos and company values. Nice amount of holiday allowance. Stores all actively connect to each other in regions and work as a big network so are very helpful. Free products. Good maternity pay. Good break time allowance. Opportunity for bonuses.

    Cons

Customers can be difficult. Big responsibilities for team leaders which are effectively management but not paid nearly as much but still are expected to undertake the same management tasks. Hours can be long. Often small teams so store managers can be quite strict and have free reign which sometimes has not been a good thing. CC's get paid more than TL's on bank holidays when TL have to do more work.

I worked at The Body Shop full-time

    Pros

Free products. There are no others.

    Cons

Nasty vile women who are senior regional managers and Regional managers. They don’t care about people who have small sales and refuse to support you. Always some excuse why the regional manager couldn’t bring you things you’ve earned, very little incentives from the regional, where other regions had things going on, don’t join if you’re a male as men are less accepted by the company as a whole THEY DONT CARE ABOUT YOU!!!! What a horrible company to work for their ethics are poor. Yes they support women and COTE but they let you run illegal gambling and let u discriminate against people and will do nothing about it.

I worked at The Body Shop part-time for more than a year

    Pros

Best manager ever in the Birkenhead branch, a respectful leader we look up to and the majority of the team was such a pleasure to work with. Respect each team member, easy to get along, very patient and acknowledge the team for their effort and achievement, I definitely learned a lot during my 20 months in here boosted my confident During my time here some staff here whether cc or scc, if they wish to progress in retail they had promotions to team leaders, assistant manager, and manager in another store. I can definitely see the company is very supportive of helping you progress higher. Often receive free products when a new product launches, its to encourage staff to try so they know how to explain to the customer. 50% staff discount, sometimes even discount on sale product

    Cons

there was only one staff which was also a CC but likes to boss people around
