I worked at The British Army full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Personal Development is second to none. Leadership in the highest order and Multiple opportunities to improve your sporting, and academic status. I was able to study for an MSc sponsored by the Army alongside my work to the benefit of my career and the Army.

    Cons

There are a few, however they are all part of the job and you are made fully aware on signing up, The only con I got exasperated about is the perceived need to follow a set career path Determined by the Army instead of being able to specialise in a particular field and develop and exploit learnt skills- it can be demoralising and doesn’t capitalise on investment in personnel.
