I worked at The Execu|Search Group full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great people and a lot of motivated, young colleagues . A lot of support across business lines. Leadership is supportive and approachable.

    Cons

Margins, money, earnings, above all mentality. This is reaffirmed from Senior Leadership down. Everything, including the commision structure, is based off how much money you can make off each person who is working/generating revenue. If you are currently working with execu-search for a job opening, know that the "max rate" they quoted you is a complete farse and based off set margins they have to abide by.

    Advice to Management

Invest in the the people who are paying your bills. Whether they are Temp, Temp-to-Perm, or Perm, understand that u you will never achieve company goals without recognizing and rewarding the people who are in the trenches, making money for you.

I would never have been successful had it not been for the training and support I received from my team. They made sure I was set up for success from the second I started. You get exactly what you put into the job. Love working here!

I have been working at The Execu|Search Group full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

It is what you make of it. The more effort you put in towards building relationships with clients/staffing managers, the more money you will make and the more you will move up. No cookie-cutter days is a huge plus.

    Cons

I've heard that some higher-level people micromanage and absolutely obliterate morale. 401k match would also be nice to have but really can't complain when a company gives you every opportunity to make a lot of money.

    Advice to Management

Don't just make someone a manager because they've been here 3+ years and you feel the need to give them more responsibilities. It will destroy the team for years to come because current employees will not reach their potential and I promise you people will leave ONLY because of this. Seen it happen a handful of times.

I worked at The Execu|Search Group full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Young environment, team members and lower level management are great to work with.

    Cons

Partners of the company only care about metrics and will always let you know. you will be treated as a number and based off how much money you make the company. A good majority of the employees have been there one year or less and there is a good reason for it, most are fired as soon as they stop producing numbers, or end up quitting. Encouraged to pressure candidates into taking temp jobs at all cost, if they do not accept you will hear about it... pressured to work extremely long hours (12 hour days) and to work through lunch. no work life balance. myself and my co workers were fearful of being fired on a daily basis. It is all about numbers.

    Advice to Management

    Treat your people like people

    Pros

Technology makes it easy to work from home, decent benefits for an agency

    Cons

They say that they aren’t metric driven, but that isn’t true at all. They love phone stats and care a lot about how many calls you are making, regardless of how good your results are. Also, there is a ton of miscommunication between management.
