    Pros

    Identify automation opportunities by:
Review of functional processes, discussions with Operations teams and review of industry trend and standards.

    Cons

Gather in-function and cross functional management support for projects is not working in the industry.

    Advice to Management

Ensure adherence to delivery timelines and software quality

I worked at The Hartford full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Good company to work for. Flexible working. Ability to contribute to change in the team. Good bonuses and pay rises.

    Cons

Seemed to be a lot of promoting to senior management of internal staff that were there the longest and were "yes" men rather than the most qualified.

    Advice to Management

Continue what you are doing. Look at hiring for senior roles outside of the organisation rather than just hire those that are willing to agree with the loudest voice

I have been working at The Hartford full-time

    Pros

I have been at The Hartford for two years now and cannot say a bad word about my experience. There has not been a single day where I have thought about changing the company I work for, or not enjoyed my work. The Hartford is a company that is extremely proud of its history, cultures, and values - as it should be. Being in business for 200+ years should tell you a great deal about a company. The company has an inclusive culture that fosters personal and professional growth, and sets a very high bar for values - which everyone is expected to meet, regardless of position.

Some added benefits of working at The Hartford include the work/life balance. Many companies preach it, but The Hartford actually provides a good work/life balance.

Compensation is competitive, and benefits are generous. Fringe benefits such as certain building amenities make it all that much better.

    Cons

No Cons. Glassdoor makes me enter 5 words.

I have been working at The Hartford full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

The Hartford is a company that offers career development and cares about their employees. The Hartford is relatively large yet you will walk down the halls and stop to have conversations with colleagues that you know personally and professionally! There is a large Employee Resource Group network that enables networking and personal development. Also love that The Hartford wants their employees to be healthy so many programs and benefits support health & wellness.

    Cons

It can take longer for decisions to be made due to stakeholder management. The company has made significant improvements over the years, but can feel long to employees that have worked in fast paced organizations.

    Advice to Management

Continue your great communication plans! Senior leadership is skilled at keeping the company in the know with goals and results while recognizing employees for their contributions - it takes a village of skilled employees!

    Pros

Very employee focused. Constantly seeking input and implementing changes based on the feedback. They offer free parking unlike their major competitor down the road...

    Cons

Seems they are very focused on growing careers for recent college grads when they have a ton of very tenured staff

I worked at The Hartford full-time

    Pros

The Hartford provides great programs for professional growth, competitive salary, "pay for performance" and entrepreneurial mindset. I had been employed there for over 20+ years. However, a reorganization eliminated our entire team. The support after the lay off was excellent.

    Cons

It has been very difficult to obtain interviews with hiring managers to return to the company either as an employee or a contractor. I was a top performer for many of those 20+ years, all the experience and company knowledge has gone to waste.

    Advice to Management

Despite being laid off, I wanted to return to the company. I feel that my qualifications were ignored. I don't believe I had a fair shot at returning even though my departure was NOT performance related.
