    Pros

    Wonderful product for 'future builders of tomorrow.' U.S. corporate headquarters in Enfield, CT keeps in constant communication with all employees as to the direction of the company. Tremendous job satisfaction!

    Cons

    An increase in salary similar to the rest of the industry would be appreciated.

    Advice to Management

    Continue to keep open communication with employees that are in constant contact with the public.

    Pros

    Friendly coworkers, good benefits. Fun product

    Cons

    Clique-y. There is an entrenched middle management that can be vindictive and difficult to break into. Usually during lay offs or restructuring they protect their own and remove anyone at the bottom.

    Advice to Management

    Needs to be more flexible than they are. There is a tendency towards an echo chamber that prevents new ideas from gaining traction.

    Pros

    Wonderful company to work for. They truly value their employees and promote a work/life balance. Great benefits for part time workers. The company ensures that EVERY employee receives a bonus at every level if their goals are reached.

    Cons

    No full time work available as a merchandiser. Very limited full time positions outside of corporate which makes it difficult to advance.

    Advice to Management

    Continue the great work! Consider raising the pay scale for part time workers so they don't have to seek other employment.

    Pros

    Love to travel to various set store schedule every week; engage with store management & associates, as well as customers in helping every entity. Lego remembers its seasonals every Christmas!

    Cons

    Lego has started to use third party, retail companies, to hire seasonals, I hope this trend comes to an end, as it has removed hours from some of its seasonals & actually brings questions to employees…

    Advice to Management

    Don't jump on the band wagon, the "temp" route, which most Retail companies do, this doesn't save money in the long run, as you will have just "anybody" coming along to reach their hand out for a payout, and won't give the same satisfactory performance for LEGO product. It will cost more in the long run for the "temp agency" fees & higher salaries paid to cover the "temp" and the "temp" agency.

    the company has a good name and reputation also doing business with movies now

    Cons

    2 year contract mileage was not paid 300 miles Radius. was told one thing and got another let merchandising team go with no notice and more lay offs on way

    Be honest with employees what to really expect

    Pros

    Great product and wonderful co-workers. Some flexibility with scheduling your required duties and responsibilities. Be prepared to be 'on call' with .your schedule with little or no notice from the company.

    Cons

    Middle merchandising management can say or do anything toward their team and no one in upper level management and human resources will give you any support.

    Advice to Management

    Someone needs to look into management that has lost 25% of their merchandising team due to those employees having been supposedly 'dishonest'.

    I have been working at The LEGO Group part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    I enjoy the freedom of schedule from days to hours, the part time feature, and the Lego brand recognition. Everyone knows Lego! My direct manager is easy to communicate with. and very responsive. The job itself is fun once a report with store Managers is established and you learn your way of what is expected of you.
    Its great to work with customers and help them find the perfect Lego System.

    Cons

    The pay is pretty low for the work and level of responsibility expected.
    No upper mobility in career unless you want to move away from Bay Area.
    Training is all online a learn as you go.
    The separation from corporate apparent. As a Merchandiser I feel left out of events and perks that Lego Corporate employees are offered, they have them almost monthly! parties, gifts movie premiers, lunches, concerts, are announced in email blasts go to everyone in the company even though most
    employees live outside of Enfield CT.

    Advice to Management

    The email blasts regarding your events that the field are not included in seems thoughtless.
