I worked at The LEGO Group full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Amazing products, good discounts, nice customer interactions

    Cons

Out of touch senior management, low pay for retail for sales assistants, impossible targets for bonuses and pay rises, trying to sell products with ever increasing prices to people who don't earn much, brand retail doesn't count when it comes to LEGO's values

I worked at The LEGO Group full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    - Work is FUN - everyday you play with LEGO!
    - Work/Life balance is taken very seriously and you get to have a LIFE aswell as WORK!
    - You meet so many different people and get to know the business so well due to the flexible seating within the office
    - You work how you want to work, you're treated like an adult and you're trusted
    - Culture and values are central to everything and you are very much encouraged to keep those values in mind with all decisions that are made
    - Flat hierarchy, the family are still very much at the heart of LEGO

    Cons

    - Promotions are quite hard to come by
    - Reduce meeting culture
    - Make it easier to stop something that isn't working rather than proving it doesn't work
    - I no longer work there :(

    Advice to Management

    - Promote more from within and create a better learning and development programme for employees

I worked at The LEGO Group full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Considering this is a call centre job, it really isn't that bad. The salary is rather competitive and the perks and benefits offered by LEGO are good too. So is the discount if (a)you/your friends are into LEGO or (b) you have small children in your family. The office is pleasant, colourful and modern. You will work with some fantastic and enthusiastic people, too. Good for a first job, especially if you're new to the country - this is a multi-lingual call centre and you'll work with a bunch of international colleagues from all over the world. The company provides free snacks and coffee for the employees. There is also an alright cantine on site.

    Cons

It's a call centre job. Which means a high level of scurrility, hard work with little to no recognition, no career progression, a lot of emotional labour to satisfy grumpy and unreasonable customers with very little support from the managers/team leaders.

I have been working at The LEGO Group full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Nice office environment. Well located.

Good enough work life balance compared to other places.

    Cons

IT group is lacking maturity of execution despite people with many years of experience. They are stuck in their ways and change is glacial.

Frustrating if you come from a mature IT environment.

Career advancement is painfully slow and seems to be based on time served rather merit or performance.

Compensation is average. Better pay is easily available.

Senior management have the best of intentions but don't know enough about IT to effectively make change.

    Advice to Management

Stop managing by consensus so much and occasionally just dictate the way it's going to be and tell people to make it happen.

Reward performance sooner. You're loosing good people.

I worked at The LEGO Group part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I love helping costumers in all sorts of ways like bringing them more closer to the technology around them and giving them an idea of what to buy in my view

    Cons

I do not like to see a sad costumer there ever is I will help

    Advice to Management

I am very talkative but that is a good thing you will see me communicating with costumers all the time
