I have been working at The Principia full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Great benefits, like-minded individuals working for a common cause - providing students with a quality education based on moral and spiritual values.

    Cons

I prefer not to say anything negative about this place. It is a fair place to work but the pay could be more competitive

  4. "Nice place to work if you have the right boss."

I have been working at The Principia full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

A move towards innovative education that is meaningful for any and all 21st Century youth. A focus on educating leaders to solve problems through thinking with Principle, Truth. A focus on developing young men and women to be strong citizens who contribute to the public good.

I have been working at The Principia full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Lots of opportunities for recent grads to get some real world work experience under their belts. Great benefits including time off and 401k matching up to 7.5%. Supportive community.

    Cons

Minimal opportunity for promotions within your department. A lot of employees who are hired here stay here for decades. It seems like it could take 10-12 years for a substantial promotion. Small community where it seems like everyone is in your business.

I worked at The Principia full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Most departments have few people, so you get to be a great general manager, a jack of all trades and a master of none so to speak. This experience stacks up and exceeds many corporate positions early on in one's career, as many of many counterparts had limited scope of responsibility, but a lot of it.

    Cons

Outside of being a teacher or professor, there was a limited path to career advancement, and most people work on the staff because other family members do, or so they can be close to their children.
