    Pros

Good work-life balance, good benefits scheme, lots of opportunities to volunteer with charities and to help the local community.

    Cons

Very little real opportunity to advance, most positions are underpaid, things are slowly becoming more corporate with targets and employee monitoring.

    Pros

Good products. Good customer support. Good market share. Good people. Good penetration into new markets and technologies. Good development pipeline.

    Cons

Fast expansion rate by organic growth and mergers outpaces resource availability leading to high pressure working environment with achieving a good work-life balance a low priority.

I have been working at Thermo Fisher Scientific for more than 5 years

    Pros

Large company with many highly intelligent and creative people. People who work here care about making a difference

    Cons

Difficult to maintain work/ life balance- long hours To progress its more about who you know rather than on performance Too large to be nimble Overkill on red tape and processes Burn-out happens far too often without much support from management- perception of not being able to 'handle the pace'

I have been working at Thermo Fisher Scientific full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

Company has good prospects, growing fast through acquisition Well-known and often respected in its industry Leading supplier in most of its industry sectors Many opportunities to progress Employees often friendly and happy to help each other

    Cons

Work/life balance poor - as the company grows there is more and more to do, with no extra reward. Company growing so big that employees needs/wishes becoming less and less important Constant changes by higher management cause employee and customer fatigue Salary banding inconsistent across employees, and negotiation near impossible Company only employs when there is a monetary need, regardless of employee health/satisfaction Overtime is recorded but not rewarded

    Positive Outlook

I have been working at Thermo Fisher Scientific full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

The Good. Salary is above average for most fields. Vast benefit options. Great options such as legal representation and supplement insurance kinda like aphlac. Yearly bonus up to 16% for non executive bands.

    Cons

The Bad. Only time off is PTO. The vacation, sick,or personal time is all lumped together putting them way behind on work life balance trend. Annual wage increases usually less than 2% while benefit cost climbs about 2% a year. The Ugly. Covid-19 company response. Showing their true colors. The company canceled merit increases, reduced salary by up to 25%. The company is also not participating in any government cost share programs to make employees whole. This is all happening while the company is growing and profiting from covid-19. Stock is higher than ever. Quarterly earnings showed growth and projections are looking up.
