I have been working at ThoughtWorks full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

You get to work with a lot of smart people who really care. There are very few jerks. You also get lots of variety as you will work for various clients.

    Cons

Travel is required so be prepared to have to be away from home. It has its upsides but may not suit everyone.

    Advice to Management

Try to keep the special culture alive.

I have been working at ThoughtWorks full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Very smart folk who are passionate about what they do

    Cons

With the takeover, ThoughtWorks has lost its way. It doesn't have a clear vision on on how to build its client base for more longer term work.

    Advice to Management

Start speaking more to your staff and properly connect to what's going on .

    I worked at ThoughtWorks

    Pros

Smartest people you will ever work with. Sometimes you get to go on very cool projects Its a consultancy so travel is required

    Cons

If your not a superstar you might be put on a body shop project. Its who you know & not your ability that dictates which project you are assigned to. Its a consultancy so travel is required

    Advice to Management

Staffing is hard but need to have little bit off randomness in its decision making

    Positive Outlook

I have been working at ThoughtWorks full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

    - Working as a consultant rather than just a typical Developer/QA/BA. - You get to work with experts from all around the world. - Travel opportunities - No non-sense of hierarchy to follow - Agile/Lean practices - Strong XD community

    Cons

    - For someone who doesn't want to travel much - it might be a little harder to survive TW.

    Advice to Management

    - Watch for the money spent on team outings and parties in general. I personally would rather use the budget for something that might help this world a better place to live. P3! - Grow slower and keep it steady please.

    Pros

Great people. Lots of diversity. Lots of autonomy. Lots of exposure to different technologies, domains, cultures, etc.

    Advice to Management

I have been working at ThoughtWorks full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Good people, variety of technologies, travel opportunities, ethical employer.

    Cons

Projects can be a bit samey - great if you like building websites. Can be on the road a lot and might have to roll onto projects that don't fit with your personal circumstances or career objectives.

    Pros

Great colleagues, bright and engaged staff everywhere you look, open and transparent culture, social conscience is in our DNA, highly learning focused environment, striving to increase diversity within technology groups.

    Cons

Could do with more support from global management on hiring 'high potential' technologists to bring more diversity into the workforce.

I have been working at ThoughtWorks

    Pros

Amazing work culture, learning organization, not much bureaucracy and hierarchy

    Cons

Starting to grow in size and you don't get that small company feel working at ThoughtWorks any more, multiple layers of management coming in, specially in TW India,

    Advice to Management

Please don't make ThoughtWorks a mini accenture.
