    I have been working at Ticketmaster full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

    Great place to work and play. They have a lot of perks! The CEO seems to genuinely care about his employees.

    Cons

    The direct reports do not encourage internal promotion. It's very hard to get promoted. It's almost impossible depending on the department your in.

    Advice to Management

    Please listen to your employees. Sometimes they have great ideas. Keep an open mind for the business.

    Pros

    The learning experience at Ticketmaster is amazing. Depending on the team, you will get to work on some of the most challenging marketplace problems facing the live event industry today.

    Cons

    Micro managing bosses, poor leadership, lousy starting salary, below inflation rate annual pay raise makes it really hard for talent to stay here to too long.

    Advice to Management

    Train people managers on leadership, they desperately need it.

    I worked at Ticketmaster full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

    There are many good people who work here. The offices are nice. The benefits are pretty strong. And the projects you work on can be very interesting.

    Cons

    There is a real leadership problem at Ticketmaster, and most of the problems have started at the top, with the president, and then trickled down. Vast resources are spent going in certain directions, and then there is an abrupt change of course. The president blows money on his mission to be the next Steve Jobs (he's not and never will be). They have brought in execs from other companies, don't promote from within, then layoff those execs they brought in after a few months.

    Having worked at Ticketmaster for years, even before the current president, I can say the company has changed and worsened.

    Advice to Management

    It's time to get rid of the president. If you don't you will continue to lose people, and money.

    Pros

    Laid back culture made coming to work a lot of fun. Lots of opportunity to communicate with managers who want to see you succeed.

    Cons

    Unpaid internship position, but that's just how it goes sometimes.

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the great work. The communication and team meetings were a great learning experience.

    -work/life balance
    -managers want you to do well
    -encourage you to bring new ideas to the table

    Cons

    -it's located on the walk of fame, so walking home late at night can be a little sketchy
    -you have to pay for parking (and get reimbursed)

    There is always something going on at this fast pace every changing company. The company is forever looking for ways to improve and that is a good thing!

    Cons

    Every company has room for improvement, what matters is the willingness to improve!

    Advice to Management

    Keep putting your employees first. Keep focusing on how to retain positive productive talent! Don't just focus on the tech world but your HR, your finance and your marketing departments as well!

    Fabulous place to work! Great benefits and opportunity for growth.

    Cons

    I wouldn't say this is a "con", but an area for improvement... Managers are too busy to train staff. Could work on setting time for those transitioning into a new position.
