Pros

Innovative technology that is surfing the leading edge of the wave of Mobile, Cloud, Big Data and Predictive Analytics for EPM (not being swamped by it like legacy and other Cloud competitors). More mature 'late start-up' vibe of a company in the scaling stage of growth. Flat hierarchy and the CEO is readily available. In fact, senior management has always been available in my time here and the CEO is eager to be in the field and pressing the flesh. This is a real challenger play and we can take on the legacy as a genuine cross-enterprise play or as a complementary use case-specific 'app'. You can also apply your previous work experience to potential new 'packaged processes' thereby bringing digitisation, automation and transformation to unexplored areas of business (which is also why partners like Tidemark).

Cons

Your view of the world will always be relative to your own experiences. Having experienced large established global enterprises and 'two men in a shed' start-ups, Tidemark is where I would expect it to be. You are expected to step up and wear multiple hats but then you also enjoy the autonomy that comes with it. Accountability and responsibility expected.

Great vision, but piss-poor execution.

Pros

Great vision, but piss-poor execution.

Cons

Tidemark had a lot of great talent but most have now moved on. Management focuses more on sales than bettering the product. They are more concerned with creating a strong sales pipeline to inflate valuation and unload the company. Even with the heavy focus on sales, we have not been able to hit targets. The product is archaic, the underlying database is open source and has roots from the 90s. The fact they attempt to sell the product as being able to handle BIG DATA is a joke. The UI is a cobbled together mess. The only reason we've made it this far is because customers are shielded from all the ugliness underneath. The whole company operates like they're running on a hamster wheel to make things "seemingly" work. Keyword: seemingly.

Pros

Many nice people at company

Cons

Catch management not telling truth on many things. Story change every time ask same question. Many of good employee "disappear" if ask management questions. One day here, next day gone. Product don't work, but management insist on making more demo feature. Not enough engineer so tell us to work harder, even stay up all night. Sales miss number all time, always blame product.
