I worked at Total Quality Logistics full-time for less than a year

    Pros

    - Nice salary, but you'll put in extra hours most likely which you can't be compensated for unless you start earning commission - Good resume booster for younger candidates - Frat-like environment and office culture - The office I was located in helped me grow as a broker and as a salesman answering every question I had, encouraging me to always do more - A commission can be obtained early on if you're a top trainee, able to show attitude, effort and results simultaneously

    Cons

    - Expect leads in TQL's system to be unrewarding for the time you put into them, lead gen outside of what is in their system even as vast as it is - If you stop bringing results, you'll lose your seat within two weeks as a broker - 100+ calls a day is seriously what's required to see success, on top of that, lead gen outside of working hours to make sure you have qualified prospects - Some brokers are extremely cold and pragmatic and some management is extremely cold and pragmatic, particularly if you're not generating results for them while being under them - This is not for everyone, but for people that think outside of the box in a very much 1+1=3 or 2+2=5 manner while maintaining both attitude and effort despite the adversities, they're the ones that are sure to see the most results, especially if they're aggressive towards what they're going after - Once again, you have to show up, go in, get energy, get going, immediately start BUSINESS upon walking in the front doors if you want to become someone successful here, there is no other way around it, you cannot be laid back and converse with others 24/7, you must work and you must work incredibly hard for your stripes

I have been working at Total Quality Logistics full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Uncapped commission - the company doesn't dictate your salary, you do. You want a raise? Call and close a customer. Team atmosphere - even though everyone is in charge of growing your own books of business, they put you on a sales team with a leader who's sole job is to make you successful (as long as you are willing to put the time and effort to meet them halfway) Environment - the company understands the hardships of sales and has created a fun atmosphere for those who need to blow off some stress. Ping pong table, shuffleboard, happy hours, beer drops, etc.

    Cons

Its sales. Its hard. But, if you are willing to put the hours and are willing to be coached, anyone can be successful.

I worked at Total Quality Logistics

    Pros

Freight brokering is a fun job in general. This is just not the company to do it. They leave you alone if you’re doing well but unfortunately it’s 2020 and you’ve missed the boat on there being any good prospects left to hunt at TQL by about 5 years.

    Cons

Where to begin? Commission structure is horrible. Probably around 90% of employees only see the base pay. They don’t care about you. It’s more profitable for them to hire LAETs and pay them close to nothing while they make their broker more money. Working on Saturdays, where again you’re just making other brokers money. Completely saturated market. You have to fight for every tiny sale just to keep you head above water. Turn over rate is the highest I’ve ever seen in a company.

I worked at Total Quality Logistics full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Fun environment, and ability to work from many locations in the US if you need to be out of town for a couple of days. commission can be good when you get to a certain point and the company is always looking to improve technology.

    Cons

Long hours (if you want to be successful at the job) and commission is not additional to base salary, you have to make more than your base salary to start making commission. Job is always stressful so being their for a while can burn you out, which is why they are always looking for new people.

I worked at Total Quality Logistics full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Great (temporary) in-between job to give you an insight of the cutthroat world of the dying telesales industry

    Cons

Using vacation time is discouraged; lack of leadership and integrity within MOST of the upper management (Spanish Fort office); No overtime compensation (You'll work your fair share of Saturdays); and if you're employed over a year and get terminated, don't expect to file for unemployment (they will fight you over it and you will not get it).
