I worked at TransferWise full-time for less than a year

    Pros

During onboarding and training weeks you feel like it's the best company you will ever work at.

    Cons

    - Lack of transparency and openness - NOT A FLAT STRUCTURE COMPANY - A call center job with unrealistic expectations - They'll be lying to your face The only thing that matters is your contacts per hour. The management puts the bar unrealistically high and it’s hard to remain on the top of things. Everything is made to look as an employee’s fault. Double standards, lies, and lack of transparency make this job unbearable. The so-called special projects are given as a reward for high KPIs, but in reality is extra work that will ultimately get you fired (if you don’t keep your KPIs). Very hard to change departments. If you go there, you are stuck.

I have been working at TransferWise full-time for less than a year

    Pros

A great company with a clear mission that is trying to change the world. Decent salary, good benefit, great team. Very open and transparent. You do have to buy into the goal of TransferWise. They have made WFH during the recent crisis very easy despite the difficulties. Open attitude and very good support for personal development and growth within the company. Just won office of the year in Hungary. Great training about products and services

    Cons

Fast paced environment, lots of changes to keep up with but it is manageable. Learning curve is steep. Have to work variable shifts.

I have been working at TransferWise full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Imagine a job where you are actually part of something wonderful. Something which helps the everyday man. A job which challenges the industry norm and redefines the rules of the game. And its all achieved through amazing cross-team cohesion, free Friday lunches and drinks in the evenings.

    Cons

Though their idea of stock option seems wonderful however, stock options are difficult to value.Stock options can result in high levels of compensation of executives for mediocre business result, which seems unfair when a team consists of senior and junior level employees with different stock options available to them. An individual employee must also rely on the collective output of their co-workers and management in order to receive a bonus.

I have been working at TransferWise full-time for less than a year

    Pros

    - We don't have a dress code and you can be yourself - Pets are allowed - Environment is good - Teams are very supportive - Team leads are awesome and they will help you growing and finding the tools for you to become a better agent or become something else in the company - If you want you can grow in the company and change to a different departments very easily if you think there is something you would like to specialize in or if there is something you think you will be good with. You will always get support from the company, team leads and colleagues.

    Cons

    - The communication in between different teams is sometimes a little disorganized - Some parameters we have to comply as a customer support and are not reasonable, because if you want to help customers you need time to get the right solution (quality should matter more than quantity).
