I have been working at TransferWise full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Culture is extremely strong and you can feel it around in the company every day. If you are a fit culturally, you will enjoy it very much. Mission statement is clear. Would recommend if you want to work for a company with clear mission, youthful employees and where work feels impactful.

    Cons

Sometimes feels like a cult :)

    Pros

You get to work in such a diverse office from people around the world. You get to be your true self at work!

    Cons

The roller coaster never stops, so if you don’t like constantly learning and adjusting to change, than it’s not for you

    Advice to Management

Learn to say no and ask for help

I have been working at TransferWise full-time for more than a year

    Pros

TransferWise is an amazing employer. The company goes out of its way to make sure its employees are happy and have opportunities for both professional and personal growth. People here are smart, down to earth, friendly and ambitious. It really feels like being a part of a family. We have the same values and share the same mission. There are countless opportunities to learn and grow, it is never boring here!... Definitely the best place I have ever worked at (compared to big corporations, banks etc.).

    Cons

After 1,5 years of working here, I would not say that this place has any significant cons.

I have been working at TransferWise full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    * The company's culture is great - people feel valued and are expected to share their opinion and thoughts. * Growth opportunities - opportunity to learn new things and acquire new skills. Possibility to move to different teams and different roles.

    Cons

If you are not a fan of changes, then TransferWise might be too much to handle, because company keeps growing and things are at constant change. If on Friday you used to follow one procedure, on Monday you might already have a new way of doing things. You need to keep yourself up-to-date.

I have been working at TransferWise full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Very people oriented company. Both for its employees and its customers. The values of the company are there not only on paper. People are driven to work good because they are being taken good care of: starting with on-boarding process, mentoring system, team-events, free snacks and great coffee, as well as comfortable work environment and freedom . The "autonomous teams" working style was very new to me, but it... allows for a quicker problem solving and development.

    Cons

The "autonomous teams" has its downfalls too - mainly the communication between teams during different projects. Mistakes happen when 2 teams are working on similar issues and solutions end up clashing and creating more issues. That will get resolved of course. The personal development is seen more in a movement between teams rather that up-scaling your positions.

    Advice to Management

I am still a newby so everything seems pink and fluffy to me. Maybe a bit more info on personal growth and professional development would be great.

I have been working at TransferWise full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Multiple autonomous teams with cross team collaboration that leads to big things happening. It feels good to be part of something this good. Fun work environment and you work with only the best people :)

    Cons

As with any startup, you always do more than perhaps is expected from you, and work-life balance therefore can suffer. Some days you wish you got paid more for the amount of work you put in daily.
