RecommendsApproves of CEOI worked at Travelport full-time for more than 10 years
Pros
I worked with lots of people who had broad technical and industry knowledge and who were more than willing to help others.
Cons
The company outsourced a large part of the technical team and lost a lot of technical expertise and experience when they laid off a substantial portion of their tech team.

RecommendsNeutral OutlookNo Opinion of CEOI have been working at Travelport full-time for more than 3 years
Pros
The people are very helpful and want the best for the company and eachother. No sharp elbows. Relatively flat structure in the sense of access to Management. Interesting things always happening - new technology, buying/selling companies, listed business/private equity owned. Meritocracy.
Cons
Lots of change happening - if you like doing what you did last year then this company is not for you. The pace of change can also be challenging, sometimes its hard to catch your breathe, although this doesn't mean its a long hours culture (it's not).

Neutral OutlookApproves of CEOI have been working at Travelport full-time for more than 3 years
Pros
Old management team has largely left the business finally getting focus on what the company is about New president and management team is focused on change
Cons
Still takes forever for decisions to be made and communicated Internal roles are often filled without formal process or communication most of the company is still moving at a pre-change pace and has no accountability.
Advice to Management
Communicate the vision Align leadership Clean house and get people accountable.

RecommendsPositive OutlookApproves of CEOI have been working at Travelport full-time for more than a year
Pros
It’s a company undergoing enormous change so if you also think that’s a ‘pro’ rather than a ‘con’ it’s a rewarding place to work. That change has some great foundations – a customer base that’s stable, solid financials, and employees who are loyal and really care about the company. Generally speaking – but of course depending on the function you work in – there is opportunity to grow your career because of, rather... than despite, the transformation taking place. Culturally, I find it a friendly and supportive environment and relatively apolitical (viewed from the experience of having worked in a number of global companies).
Show More;Cons
Company-wide change inevitably causes disruption and that can make working life tough . Not all areas of the business are changing at the same speed and that’s sometimes a challenge. Office locations are often out of town, reducing the social aspect of work which usually accompanies city centre locations.
Advice to Management
Significant investment needed by the new owners to clear technical debt and set the company on the path to high growth. Whilst bringing in new talent from other industries is necessary, there’s a risk of a loss of culture and identity, and that needs to be managed carefully

Doesn't RecommendNegative OutlookNo Opinion of CEOI have been working at Travelport full-time for more than 3 years
Pros
Fantastic working environment where your team feels like your family
Cons
Too many chances that do not necessarily reflect what the customers need Management does not listen to employees on the front lines Too many "pilots" that end up in nothing Lack of consistency Internal systems are incredibly outdated, they delay absolutely everything
Advice to Management
Listen to your employees, especially the ones that have daily conversations with your customers. Stop trying out new processes all the time - every year there's a new way of doing things. It's confusing, and employees can never be up to speed. Worry about updating the internal systems and getting the different teams talking to each other. It's important that everyone understands what everyone else is doing so... we can all move towards a shared vision.
