I worked at Travelzoo full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

    - Collaborative environment - Opportunities to work abroad and with global teams - Excellent perks, including an annual travel stipend and voucher discounts - Great culture with lots of team social events - The people are smart, creative and great fun - the best team I have ever worked with - Hard work is rewarded with career development and promotion

    Cons

    - Product development can be slow and tends to be led by the US - There's very little flexibility and a policy that's against allowing people to regularly work from home

I worked at Travelzoo full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

There is a great work life balance and colleagues across all parts of the UK business were amazing. It is a friendly and fun environment and I believe the business to having been committed to developing employees. The compensation and benefits are superb with European conferences being a particular highlight.

    Cons

The management at the very top of the business does not communicate a clearly defined vision for the future and are too concerned with the minutiae. They need to relinquish control of the day to day and allow the leaders at the coalface to do their jobs.

I have been working at Travelzoo full-time for less than a year

    Pros

-5 discount codes to use on inhouse deals -free team lunches every so often -smart people who are good at their jobs (depending on which team you end up in)

    Cons

-unpleasant environment esp for a woman: constant talks of diets and very competitive nature -a huge lack of ethnic diversity (almost everyone is caucasian) -employees overworked and underpaid -senior management are there for show-attend lots of fancy awards but the real people that do all the work aren't appreciated -the company favours the quantity of time you have worked there rather than actual work ethic -ideas are ignored -old systems are still used with no notion of progress -no opportunity to grow; the same people stay in the same roles

I have been working at Travelzoo for more than a year

    Pros

Travelzoo is full of great people and has a really responsive management team. Employees are highly valued and, from what I have seen, hard work is always recognised and rewarded with opportunities for development. There's a generous selection of perks and a good pension plan, along with plenty of opportunities for participate in events outside the office. Overall, a great company to work for!

    Cons

The job is quite process-heavy, and could be better streamlined to a) reduce the need for unnecessary back-and-forth with clients and b) minimize repetition of work between systems. However, I know this is something that is constantly being worked on, and measures are currently in place which will improve this over the coming year.

I have been working at Travelzoo full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Having worked at Travelzoo for 6 years, I'm still excited by what the business stands for, and where it's going; a fast-paced, fun organisation, with solid strategy and focus. Hard work and talent are recognised, and rewarded with development opportunities and the necessary training. Colleagues are passionate, and driven - a real pleasure to work with. Management is approachable, and united in their direction. Compensation, incentives, and perks are very good, and well-valued. A brilliant company to work for!

    Cons

Travelzoo has exacting standards across the board. Whilst this does occasionally create pressure, it also encourages collaboration, and produces excellent results.
