Pros

- Fancy shinny office - Fast growing company - great location

Cons

- Not much room to advance and grow for many teams and departments ( especially if you are female) - Not open for changes and suggestions in terms of improving and updating loan management or servicing system. They are still using the same old system adopted 20 years ago. Their servicing cannot keep up with the company's growth. - Office manager is a nightmare. She cannot keep up with her work. Never do things right, bullies everyone (well mostly female employees) and just has a little bit too much power so no one can say anything about it. No respect to anyone else. A big suck up to the boss only. - People come and go too often.

Absolutely horrific office manager

Pros

Decent salary. Great place to work if you like to be verbally abused on a regular basis by the rude office manager.

Cons

Rude, un-reasonable, verbally abusive office manager. This company went through about 5 different receptionists in a year due to her horrific management. Was told I would lose my job if I took a sick day while battling a respiratory infection. Considered suing for harassment. An old boys club. My rating would be 0 stars if this would allow.

Pros

Some people are paid really well.

Cons

Trez has the potential to be a leader in the space but its frenetic management stunts its growth – and culture. Referred to internally as “the wild west,” the firm lacks structure and process. Employees are at the whim of an erratic CEO and the bullies he employs at the executive level. Those he likes are compensated healthily, which is why they stick around and perpetuate the behaviour. COVID shone on a light on the good and not so good employers across the country. Trez employees, despite being non-essential workers, were required in the office because of an antiquated mindset that if you’re not at your desk, you’re not working. We are in a global pandemic. Forcing employees to choose between their/their family’s safety and their jobs should demonstrate to any job candidate exactly what this company values – itself and itself alone. Other cons: lack of HR policies and procedures (and a trustworthy HR lead), limited internal growth opportunities, constant in-fighting, the Vancouver office manager, horrible benefits. Shall I continue?
