    I worked at Trouva full-time

    Pros

    - you get money - you have a job

    Cons

    - micromanagement of employees - lots of employees are entitled and bratty - employees set up to fail probation - employees getting fired on a weekly basis for any made up reason - if you disagree with the founders you’re out - toxic fear-based culture counterproductive to work - lots of secrecy, lies and miscommunication between management & employees

    Advice to Management

    - get leadership training for anyone in a management position - stop hiring people with the intent to fire them in 3-4 months - restructure your hiring process and your people & culture team

    I worked at Trouva full-time

    Pros

Trouva is an excellent employer for a relatively young company. They put a lot of effort in to creating a good environment and the people within teams care about each other. If you're talented and passionate about independent retail, then you will enjoy it.

    Cons

It's not really a con- Trouva is a fast moving business, be prepared to be flexible and expect to work hard.

    Pros

    - Great team - Managers were always open for suggestions - Possibility to bring in own ideas and work them out - Really thorough on- and off boarding - Good infrastructure within business - Quite transparent - great team communication

    Cons

    - Communication issues cross teams - fast paced/ start up vibe (quick strategy changes that sometimes were a bit challenging)

I have been working at Trouva full-time

    Pros

    - everyone is indeed very friendly

    Cons

    - lack of transparency - communication is a HUGE problem (within the team and cross-teams) - we sell a dream that has been becoming farther away of what the actual vision is - strategies focus on short-term solutions that are not viable in long-term - lack of strategy - feels like sinking ship - no job security - no possible development - no benefits besides 20% employee discount - many mistakes that could...

    I worked at Trouva full-time

    Pros

There is a huge loving community that shows great product market fit! Everyone has a great impact on the product. The company and processes are constantly evolving for the better and it's very easy to help in that. Very diverse and international with a good mix of experienced and less experienced people.

    Cons

There's a lot to handle at the moment, and sometimes you might fly blind, if you are not pro-active or communicative enough you might slip and have a stressful time.

    Advice to Management

Put more effort into 1 on 1 coaching and friendly catch-ups to ensure there's a time and place to release stress and to grow people even further.
