Pros

Free Friday Lunch, people are chill, kitchen is stocked with snacks :D

Cons

So much office politics, micromanagement like nothing else, managers don't trust employees and the feeling's mutual, managers wont hesitate to throw you under the bus to save themselves from their bosses, management have a lot of miscommunication between themselves, disruptive and abusive and incompetent employees are protected, management lies and makes a lot of false promises, it's not about what you know or what you can do, it's about who you kiss up to or sleep with

Pros

Great coworkers and team. There’s a sense of camaraderie throughout the team as we commiserate in a great workplace swiftly going down hill.

Cons

Understaffed. Underpaid. Overworked. Our team has quickly shrunk over the last few months due to low pay and bad decision making from management. There has been no real effort seen to replace those that have left and everyone else is expected to pick up the slack. No job postings for replacements with an ever growing workload along with plans to outsource new support members from overseas has left a distinctly bad taste. Yearly raise did not cover the cost of inflation. Work from home opportunities have been scaled back over the last year with the acquisition of a new office. What used to be truly flexible is now 4 days in office for a job that can be done 100% remote. I’m sad to see the direction the company has been going. It was great years ago but I can not say the same now. The company no longer recognizes, maintains, or grows talent. An ever swelling executive staff, but the “funding cycle” for hiring and raises never seems to roll around to our team. There is no compensation for mandatory on call duties. On call has been in the process of being phased out for two years, but unpaid on call shifts have increased over the last few months. I can genuinely say that every single change made from the top down over the last few years have negatively impacted me individually or the team as a whole.

Rest assured, we are actively working to improve our recruitment and hiring processes to more quickly identify and onboard top talent. Even more importantly, we are committed to addressing burnout and providing an exceptional working environment for all of our current employees. Regarding the reduction in work-from-home opportunities and the increase in on-call duties, we will take your feedback into consideration as we continue to make improvements. Your advice to management is valuable and appreciated. Thank you for your dedication to our organization and for being a part of iX.
