I worked at UGL full-time for more than a year

    Pros

In the business there are some fantastic managers and leaders - unfortunately the HR person is not one of them

    Cons

When 4 employees resign in the space of a few months, you would think that the GM would realise that there is a problem that needs to be fixed, especially when you are losing good people who are the right culture and have the skills to do their job. Unfortunately this is not the case. There is so much good 'stuff' that could be done and the business are crying out for it however, under the current manager's... direction, poor management style and clear lack of leadership, your hands are tied. Perish the thought if you ever come up with a good idea. Any idea or suggestion is very quickly slapped down

    Advice to Management

Recognise when someone who is in a people leader role is struggling and listen to the feedback of exiting employees. Either provide them with the skills, development and coaching to succeed or make changes.

I worked at UGL for more than 10 years

    Pros

    Decent benefits package. Multiple positions.

    Cons

Poor management, must be a part of good ol boy network to advance or remain employed.

    Advice to Management

Regional management involvement with ALL employees could help steer focus back to customer service and away from the GOB network
