    Opportunities to work in a wide variety of areas. Making an impact on decisions affecting the future. Flexible working is the norm Great people Working from home is very well accepted as long as you have the relevant IT

    Cons

    Pay is nowhere near private industry standards (but that's not why you join the civil service). IT is severely out of date with strict restrictions on software and apps upgrades or additions.
