I have been working at UNC Chapel Hill full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Working with clinicians, doctors and other researchers from a non-statistical background helps you communicate your ideas and collaborate with them for statistical consultation. The hours vary depending on the time of the academic year but overall, it is not stressful and you learn a lot while writing research papers in collaboration with others.

    Cons

Sometimes around deadlines, the work can be stressful and the pay is just enough to maintain a basic standard of living.

    Advice to Management

A more rigorous way of evaluating the research assistants and raising the pay to meet the standard of income of the private universities in the area.
