    Pros

    Good benefits. Good retirement options. Nice perks (use of entire university, libraries, discounts, sporting event tickets, etc).

    Cons

    No parking and no option to get parking unless you've worked there for multiple years. Limited time off. Limited career advancement in my department.

    Advice to Management

    Don't micromanage your employees. It makes us leave.

    - Attract a LOT of federal funding
    - Located in the research triangle, with the highest percentage of Phd degree per capita in the US.
    - There is a compassionate culture, where your well-being is valued compared to other R1 universities.

    Cons

    - Not in a city.
