    Good range of subjects
    Great facilities
    Central location
    Target university for many companies

    Sometimes size of university makes information less accessible
    Needs better regulation
    Safety can be an issue
    Location of campus makes surrounding area not affordable for rent
    Gets very busy during term time

    The opportunity to work for/with world class leaders in research. My programme enabled us to attend interesting seminars and workshops as well as student symposia and retreats.

    Cons

    Some departments/labs are in poor conditions due to the lack of funding.. this affects the admin and research side unfortunately

    Sometimes the social side of PhD life can be lacking, and you can feel that you dont meet many people beyond your lab
