I have been working at University College London full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Relaxed environment, time is flexible and casual atmosphere

    Cons

Scarce promotional opportunities for lower grade staff even of good ability and often given dead end jobs with no chance of advancement; automatic promotional opportunies for senior staff even of mediocre ability.

    Advice to Management

Lower grade staff can make amazing contributions if nurtured correctly. And no matter how nicely you treat higher grade staff they are often expensive paperweights.
