I have been working at University College London full-time

    Pros

I've been in UCL for several years now and I think it has a great working place with interesting colleagues and students

    Cons

Like me, I've heard many colleagues complaining about UCL services for employees. This in terms of payments of short term contracts, HR and finance, benefits.

    Advice to Management

I think that except of the above UCL it's a great university to work in, I would just focus on these little things that can improve workers' satisfaction

I worked at University College London full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The science is great. The vibe is that of a truely world leading university and the size of it means you can find collaborators and experts for pretty much anything. The central London location is also fantastic.

    Cons

Because UCL is so large, there is a lot of bureaucracy and hoop jumping that I haven't experienced at other universities. It also has a feel of being managed top down with scientists being increasingly forced to fit a certain mould.
