I have been working at University College London full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

a good employer with good career progression and attention to staff and support for their work and a good salary and perks

    Cons

good supportive structures for academic careers in place and communication with top management is second to none. would be very difficult to find anything to say against them.

I have been working at University College London full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

They have recently allowed tenure track promotions all the way to Professor without need for research.

    Cons

Although rated very high academically, they do not integrate departments well, so it is still very silo based.

    Advice to Management

Suggest that they integrate research better; they are doing among the students in engineering with the new integrated engineering program.

    Pros

World leading university in the heart of London. Very flexible working hours. Able to work from home when not teaching.

    Cons

Expensive to live in or around London and the London allowance isn't anywhere near enough to make up for this. Some issues with status of teaching fellows: we often get "missed" as we're not considered academics, and are not admin/managerial staff either.

    Advice to Management

Please re-look at "teaching-track" career progression, in line with other Russell group universities.
