I worked at University College London

    Pros

    - Good pay per hour - Helpful managers in place - Flexible work timetable

    - Sometimes there was a lack of communication between the accommodation and student ambassador managers, which led to unstructured shifts

    Current Employee - Anonymous Employee

I have been working at University College London full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Generous leave policy, and depending on position/line manager flexible work hours.

    Cons

For contract-based research positions (aka postdocs and technicians), employment is tied very strictly to funding. As far as I can tell there is no institutional support to keep research staff employed if there is a lapse/gap in grant funding.

    Positive Outlook

I have been working at University College London full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Flexible working hours Able to work from home when necessary Supportive management Good pay Good support for professional development Colleagues are very supportive and work well together.

    Cons

Some of the more senior members of staff either don't turn up or are unwilling to make decisions in line with their position, or they question everything and try to micromanage things unnecessarily.
