    Surrounded by intelligent people who are driven.

    Cons

    University provides very little support both mental health-wise and academically. Generally reliant on self-learning.

    Pros

    Good central location, many colleagues are very pleasant, interesting work and fairly flexible hours, there are some good training opportunities.

    Cons

    High pressure, some difficult people, and the pay wasn't particularly great, my contract was not extended even though I know that I did a good job and met all my targets.

    Please consider salary hike of postdocs who do more than 60% of the university research
