I have been working at University of Edinburgh full-time

    Pros

Collegiate and trusting working culture, with open flexibility for training and project determination.

    Cons

VERY unclear management structure and prioritization hierarchy. Bureaucratic and admin elements conflict and compete not knowing who has priority, and thus it's an effort based on force of personality.

    Advice to Management

Improve admin and hierarchy structures so it's clear for employees and work can flow more smoothly.

I have been working at University of Edinburgh full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Excellent facilities, scenic campus (King's Buildings) and good support. The best thing about Edinburgh is that if a student has and retains their own IP. This will attract many students who might eventually start their own company.

    Cons

Increase desk space as a lot of places are getting filled up.

Personal development is encouraged. Working conditions are good. Vision is clear. Workers are valued and they are definitely investors in people.

    Advice to Management

Keep moving with the times and conform less with how it has always been done.
