    I have been working at University of Hertfordshire part-time

    Pros

    Friendly atmosphere, all new staff put on training program CPAD which is of very high quality.

    Cons

    Older buildings terrible and new ones not much better. Poor design.

    Advice to Management

    Empathy for students has gone a little too far. At some stage they will enter the real world!

    senior management good
    salaries are competitive in that area
    provide with training
    a proper organisation structure HR etc
    good AL
    good sick pay

    Cons

    some lower managers unprofessional
    office politics
    gossipy
    nothing stays confidential
    some teams are like a childs play ground and bullies get away
