I worked at University of Leicester part-time for more than a year

    Pros

    - Very friendly and supportive work environment - Well organised once shift is secured - Good pay - Great experience for future jobs - A wide range of shift types - Flexible ( 0 hours )

    Cons

    - Long winded, time consuming and outdated process to secure shifts which can take weeks for a single (potential) shift - Shifts can start very early (7am) on some shifts such as open days when there is often very little to do until visitors start to arrive at 9am.

    Advice to Management

    - Introduce a better system for shift allocation

    Neutral Outlook

I have been working at University of Leicester part-time for more than a year

    Pros

You can choose your own hours and how much you work in some positions so the work-life balance is perfect. Also, the range of people you get to work with is great and you get to try different tasks all the time

    Cons

There are a lot of things that you have to know about the University of Leicester in order to be good at the position, and this can take time to achieve.

    Advice to Management

Encourage more inter-work relationships by providing more training days etc together with other workers

I have been working at University of Leicester part-time for more than a year

    Pros

Easy to navigate, friendly staff, nice modern buildings (most).

    Cons

    Can't think of anything bad

    Advice to Management

Recognise individuals after a shift perhaps… but I've never had a bad experience.
