    Good system of accountability with regards to all decisions of the research process and pastoral care toward students Friendly and collaborative environment Good support for PhD students with regular workshops covering a range of topics on managing PhD studies Vibrant university that has close links with the city itself through many public outreach projects

    Career support for postgraduates/PhD students is limited though getting better

    Pros

    Relatively high salaries compared to other universities (outside of London)

    Cons

    Working there was probably overall a neutral experience but unfortunately, the bad experiences tend to stand out more. I found a severe lack of integrity and accountability in issues relating to how the research was funded in my specific group.
