I have been working at University of Manchester full-time

    Pros

Diverse group of people, world class lecturers with expertise in their given field, great city to live in, high chance of employment in a grad job afterwards.

    Cons

Lack of contact hours with lecturers the major concern, majority of seminar teaching done by TA's who are focused on finishing their PHD's not offering great teaching.

    Advice to Management

Offer more funding to the TA's both in terms of marking essays and preparing for seminars so they can offer a better standing of teaching without having to offer the university unpaid labour.

I have been working at University of Manchester full-time

    Pros

Interesting work, but that's about it.

    Cons

Terrible work environment, with abysmal administrative support (I'm talking weeks, if not months, to get simple things sorted). We aren't even trusted with A4 paper or stationary (it's all locked away). Seriously low morale.

    Advice to Management

Improve morale by being more supportive, rather than suspicious, of staff.
